I have worked side by side with many content creators and I think they absolutely have a place on your wedding team! They differ from a videographer in a few ways. Content creation captures fun, shareable behind the scenes moments often shot on a phone in vertical format with quick turnaround. A wedding videographer creates  cinematic, long-term keepsakes; filmed with multiple professional cameras, lenses, lighting, drone, and pro audio, typically in a landscape format. The more professional equipment and cinematic techniques you add, the more a content creator moves into traditional videography.

A documentary film is the full narrative of the day, covering key moments like any first looks or private vows, your wedding ceremony, toasts, and also your special dances. This is shot with multiple cameras(where appropriate) to ensure complete coverage of each event. 

A highlight film is a shorter cinematic edit, usually around 5 to 8 minutes, set to music and focused on the most emotional and important moments of your day. It’s a snapshot of your entire day that you can share with everyone so you can feel the most epic moments again. 

So, the documentary lets you relive the day, while the highlight film lets you relive the feeling.

A second videographer is recommended when your wedding day has events happening in more than one place at once or if you want more cinematic coverage, like wide ceremony shots and close-ups at the same time. It helps capture both partner's prep, details, and candid guest moments without rushing or missing important scenes. Also, if you have hired two photographers to split coverage of the day, having two videographers is a safe way to ensure nothing is missed.

Absolutely, and this is something we will discuss before your wedding day. I want to help present you at your best and most authentic selves for your wedding video. That being said, everyone has a different level of comfort when it comes to this, and I’ll work with both your photographer and you to ensure that we work at a level that is appropriate for your wedding vision.

We ask for up to eight weeks for delivery of all films and footage, though we often deliver earlier!
